Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a heterogeneous group of tumors at the intertumoral and intratumoral levels. With advances in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) treatment over the past 20 years, the median OS has surpassed 40 months in a select patient group with the incorporation of targeted agents into cytotoxic chemotherapy regimens. In this seminar, we discussed some therapies and surgical methods for CRC and mCRC. For example, the efficacy of targeted therapy vs. HIPEC in treatment of mCRC patients with peritoneal metastases; The Current achievements and future perspective of immunotherapy in mCRC patients; Factors which influence resectability and overall survival for RAS wild-type mCRC patients, and the optimal systemic therapy in 3rd and 4th line treatment in mCRC. Additionally, we also hold “Taiwan 7th Colorectal Cancer MDT Conference”. In this thematic competition, there were 4 MDT teams from 4 medical centers to present their own interdisciplinary team treatment plan.
